Biography

Hassan Al Masoudi is an Associate at Al Muayad & Associates, working within the Corporate Structuring team. He possesses extensive practical experience in structuring and incorporating national companies and establishing branches of foreign companies in Iraq. His work is conducted in accordance with the provisions of Companies Law No. 21 of 1997 (as amended) and the Regulation of Foreign Company Branches No. 2 of 2017.
Additionally, Hassan specializes in the registration of regional and local companies with the Ministry of Labor, ensuring their legal compliance under the Iraqi Labor Law No. 37 of 2015 and the Social Security Department pursuant to the Retirement and Social Security Law for Workers No. 18 of 2023.

Experience

Throughout his career, Hassan has contributed to the incorporation of numerous national companies and provided comprehensive legal support. He has successfully handled the registration of several regional and national firms with the Social Security Department, overseeing the entire procedural and legal lifecycle, from drafting required documentation to managing inspection reports and securing final registration decisions.
Hassan has also played a pivotal role in obtaining necessary sectoral approvals for regulated activities, including Transportation and Oil Services, Telecommunications, Security Services, and Other specialized activities requiring specific governmental clearances.
Beyond initial registration, Hassan manages ongoing monthly compliance, fee settlements, and fine mitigation. He also oversees the recruitment of foreign labor, navigating the procedural pipeline from the Ministry of Labor through to the Ministry of Interior’s Residency Affairs Directorate.
Hassan is actively involved in corporate registration and legal adaptation projects. He provides strategic counsel to clients on compliance matters, ensuring the effective protection of corporate rights.
